Regulation 57

Saving and transitional provision for amendment of Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act

Despite section 518(a) of the Act —

(a)

section 1(2) of the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act (Cap. 395) as in force immediately before 30 July 2020 continues to apply to or in relation to any deceased debtor in respect of whose estate an order for the administration in bankruptcy of the estate of a deceased debtor is made pursuant to an application made before that date;

(b)

section 1(3) of the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act as in force immediately before 30 July 2020 continues to apply to or in relation to any deceased insured in respect of whose estate an order for the administration in bankruptcy of the estate of a deceased debtor is made pursuant to an application made before that date; and

(c)

section 2(1) of the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act as in force immediately before 30 July 2020 continues to apply to or in relation to any deceased person in respect of whose estate an order for the administration in bankruptcy of the estate of a deceased debtor is made pursuant to an application made before that date.
