Regulation 9
Subregulation 1
Where an officer has been convicted of a criminal offence, the Establishment Committee may —
(a)
consider the record of the proceedings of the court; and (b)if it is of the opinion that the officer should be dismissed, reduced in rank or punished in some other way, punish the officer accordingly after he has been given a reasonable opportunity to be heard.
Subregulation 2
The Establishment Committee shall not be obliged to appoint a committee of inquiry in the circumstances set out in paragraph (1).
