Clause 17

Section 20 of the Insurance Act is amended by deleting subsection (4) and substituting the following subsection:“(4) Any person who contravenes this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $12,500 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $1,250 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.”.
