Registration of Service Company

Subregulation 1

A company (other than a coverholder acting in accordance with the terms of a binding authority) that wishes to act as an agent in Singapore for any member of Lloyd’s under these Regulations must apply to be registered with the administrator.

Subregulation 2

An application for registration under paragraph (1) shall be in such form and contain such particulars as the administrator may determine.

Upon receiving an application under paragraph (1), the administrator shall —

(a)

notify the Authority in writing of the application and furnish the Authority in writing with the particulars of the applicant set out in the Second Schedule and such other information as the Authority may require; and (b)register the applicant on the date of expiry of the period of 30 days commencing on the day immediately following the day on which the particulars and information referred to in sub-paragraph (a) were furnished to the Authority pursuant to the last request made by the Authority under that sub-paragraph, unless the Authority objects to the registration before that date of expiry.
