Rules not to apply to detained persons in lock-ups

Subregulation 1
If the place of detention of a detained person is —
(a)
a lock-up appointed under section 4 of the Prisons Act 1933; or
(b)
a temporary lock-up appointed under section 4(1A) of that Act,these Rules do not apply to, or in relation to, the detained person or the lock-up.
Subregulation 2
To avoid doubt, the Prisons (Police Lock-ups and Temporary Lock-ups) Regulations 2013 (G.N. No. S 684/2013) apply to, or in relation to, the detained person and the lock-up mentioned in paragraph (1).
