Section 48

Instruments affecting registered land shall disclose the full name, the address and the occupation or conjugal status of each person claiming thereunder, and, in the case of co-tenants, the manner in which they intend to hold.

Persons described as tenants in common shall, in the absence of any expression to the contrary, be presumed to be entitled in equal shares.

For the purpose of this section, the name of any person is that by which he is for the time being registered under the provisions of the National Registration Act [Cap. 201] or any regulations made thereunder.[44
