These Regulations are the Legal Aid and Advice (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 October 2026.

reg 2Amendment of First Schedule

In the Legal Aid and Advice Regulations (Rg 1), in the First Schedule, in paragraph 1 —

(a)

in sub‑paragraph (a), replace “$1,050” with “$1,650”;

(b)

in sub‑paragraph (d)(i), replace “$40,000” with “$42,000”; and

(c)

in sub-paragraph (d)(ii), replace “$10,000” with “$12,000”.
