—(1) A responsible officer of a designated entity must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident.(2) If the competent authority is satisfied that —(a)a person is a responsible officer of a designated entity but is not a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident; and(b)it is necessary or expedient to pre‑empt, prevent or reduce any foreign influence that may undermine racial harmony in Singapore,the competent authority may direct the designated entity to remove the person as a responsible officer.

s 24Responsible officers’ nationality: restrictions and removal directions

(1)

A responsible officer of a designated entity must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident.

(2)

If the competent authority is satisfied that —

(a)

a person is a responsible officer of a designated entity but is not a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident; and

(b)

it is necessary or expedient to pre‑empt, prevent or reduce any foreign influence that may undermine racial harmony in Singapore,the competent authority may direct the designated entity to remove the person as a responsible officer.
