17C. Jurisdiction of court

(1)
Despite the Criminal Procedure Code 2010*, a District Court has jurisdiction to try any offence under this Act and has power to impose the full punishment for any such offence.
(2)
Where an offence under section 17E or 17F is committed by a person outside Singapore, the person may be dealt with in respect of that offence as if it had been committed in Singapore.
