cl 29Amendment of section 2

In the MPA Act, in section 2 —

(a)

renumber the section as subsection (1) of that section; and

(b)

after subsection (1), insert —“(2) To be clear, a reference in this Act to a vessel (or any type of vessel) includes a reference to a vessel (or that type of vessel) that is designed to be or capable of being —

(a)

operated independently of human intervention (whether fully or partially);

(b)

operated, monitored, supervised or controlled remotely from a location other than the vessel; or

(c)

operated, monitored, supervised or controlled (as the case may be) through a combination of the manner of operation mentioned in paragraphs (a) and (b).”.
