Clause 5

Section 5 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (f) and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraphs:“(fa)to determine and regulate standards of practice and the competence of registered medical practitioners within the medical profession;

(fb)to provide administrative services to other bodies (whether corporate or unincorporate) responsible for the regulation of healthcare professionals; and”.
