Clause 8

Section 18 of the principal Act is amended by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsections:“(3) The Minister may appoint a Deputy Registrar to assist the Registrar in carrying out his functions and duties under this Act.(4) The Registrar may, subject to such conditions or restrictions as he thinks fit, delegate to the Deputy Registrar any of his powers or functions under this Act, except the power of delegation conferred by this section.(5) The Registrar may continue to exercise any power conferred on him or perform any function under this Act notwithstanding the delegation of such power or function under this section.”.
