Regulation 24
(1)
Two separate means of communication between the wheelhouse and the machinery space shall be provided. One of the means shall be an engine room telegraph. (2) In ships fitted with two main propulsion machinery each driving its own propeller, each machinery shall have an engine room telegraph. (3) The engine room telegraph may be dispensed with if the main propulsion machinery is directly controlled from the wheelhouse.
