Number of persons to be carried
Subregulation 1
The owner or master of a Singapore pleasure craft must not cause or permit the pleasure craft to carry on board a number of persons that is greater than its carrying capacity as determined in accordance with the Third Schedule.
Subregulation 2
The owner or master of a Singapore pleasure craft must not cause or permit the pleasure craft to carry more than 12 passengers.
Subregulation 3
A person who fails to comply with paragraph (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
Subregulation 4
In a prosecution for an offence under paragraph (3), it is not necessary for the prosecution to prove that the person charged with the offence intended to commit the offence.
