Saving and transitional provisions
(1)
Despite sections 16 and 17, sections 33 and 33A of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of sections 16 and 17 continue to apply in relation to any person convicted of an offence under section 8(b), 31(2) or 31A(2) that is committed before that date.
(2)
Despite section 18, section 34(4A) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 18 continues to apply in relation to any person who, before that date, is subject to a supervision order made under section 34(2)(a) or (2A) of the principal Act as in force immediately before that date.
(3)
Despite section 18, section 34(3), (3A) and (5) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of section 18 continues to apply in relation to any person who, before that date, is admitted to an approved institution under section 34(2)(b) of the principal Act as in force immediately before that date.
