Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 May 2026.

Citation and commencement
These Regulations are the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 and come into operation on 1 May 2026.
Amendment of regulation 12
In the Misuse of Drugs (Approved Institutions, Medical Observation and Treatment and Rehabilitation) Regulations (Rg 3), in regulation 12 —
in paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraph (e) with —“(e)not consume any controlled drug, psychoactive substance or specified psychoactive substance;
(ea)not have in his possession —
any controlled drug or psychoactive substance; or
any Part 3A product that contains a specified psychoactive substance;”;
in paragraph (6), in the definition of “officer”, replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and
in paragraph (6), after the definition of “officer”, insert —“ “Part 3A product” has the meaning given by section 19A of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993;“specified psychoactive substance” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act 1993.”.
