5. Amendment of section 4
Feedback & supportIn the MACMA, in section 4, after subsection (2), insert —“(3) This Act does not prevent the provision of the following international assistance to a foreign country in relation to a person in Singapore, with the person’s consent:
the recording of the person’s statement by a law enforcement agency for the purposes of any criminal matter in the foreign country;
the transmission of the person’s statement to the appropriate authority of the foreign country by the Attorney‑General or a law enforcement agency.
In subsection (3), a “law enforcement agency” means an authority or person charged with the duty of investigating offences or charging offenders under any written law.”.
