39. Persons to act for company or firm

(1)
For any of the purposes of this Act, a company may act by a director or its secretary, and a firm may act by any of its members.

“company” means a company incorporated or registered under the Companies Act 1967 or under any corresponding previous written law;
(2)
In this section, “company” includes a variable capital company incorporated under the Variable Capital Companies Act 2018.
