Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2004 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 8th May 2004.

Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2004 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation NPPA-S266-2004 1974, currently marked in force and first recorded in 1974.
Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Order 2004 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 8th May 2004.
Exemption
Subject to sub-paragraph (2), the Minister hereby exempts, from section 21 of the Act, any newspaper transmitted electronically by NewspaperDirect, Inc. to NewspaperDirect Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore.
The exemption under sub-paragraph (1) shall be subject to the following conditions:
NewspaperDirect Singapore Pte Ltd shall obtain the prior written approval of the Registrar for the printing or publishing, in Singapore, of each newspaper transmitted electronically to it; and
the Registrar may, at any time, by written notice to NewspaperDirect Singapore Pte Ltd, revoke any written approval referred to in sub-paragraph (a).
Cancellation
The Newspaper and Printing Presses (Exemption) Notification 2002 (G.N. No. S 32/2002) is hereby cancelled.
