These Rules are the Parking Places (Claims Against Forfeiture) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 3 January 2019.

For the purposes of section 15(5B) of the Act, a claim in respect of a vehicle removed to a place of safety or any other place must be made in one of the following ways:

(a)

by post addressed to the Land Transport Authority of Singapore at 10 Sin Ming Drive, Singapore 575701;

(b)

online at http://www.lta.gov.sg;

(c)

by email addressed to feedback@lta.gov.sg.

Subregulation 1

Suggest a correction

For the purposes of section 15(5B) of the Act, a claim in respect of a vehicle removed to a place of safety or any other place must be accompanied by —

(a)

documents which evidence the means by which the vehicle came into the ownership, or under the lawful possession, of the claimant before the vehicle was removed; and

(b)

any other information specified by the Authority to decide on the particular claim.

Subregulation 2

Suggest a correction

A document mentioned in paragraph (1) may be —

(a)

provided in electronic form or in hardcopy; and

(b)

an original document or a legible copy of the original document.

Subregulation 3

Suggest a correction

Where a document mentioned in paragraph (1) is provided in the form of a copy (electronic or otherwise), the Authority may request the claimant to show the Authority the original document.

Regulation 4

Incomplete or non-compliant claim

The Authority may refuse to consider a claim that is incomplete or not made in accordance with these Rules.
