Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Parking Places (Vehicle Removal, Storage and Release Charges) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 2 April 2026.

Parking Places (Vehicle Removal, Storage and Release Charges) (Amendment) Rules 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S189 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Parking Places (Vehicle Removal, Storage and Release Charges) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 2 April 2026.
New rules 2, 3, and 4
In the Parking Places (Vehicle Removal, Storage and Release Charges) Rules 2018 (G.N. No. S 281/2018) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), after rule 1, insert —“Definitions
2. In these Rules —“HDB parking place” means a parking place that —
is provided by the Authority under section 4 of the Act; and
is operated by the Housing and Development Board;“URA parking place” means a parking place that —
is provided by the Authority under section 4 of the Act; and
is operated by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.Charges for vehicle removed, detained or immobilised under section 15(1) of Act from or at HDB parking place
3. Where a vehicle found in an HDB parking place is removed, detained or immobilised under section 15(1) of the Act, the following charges must be paid for the release of the vehicle under section 15(4) of the Act:
if the vehicle is removed — a removal charge of the applicable amount specified in Part 1 of the Schedule; (b)a storage charge at the applicable rate specified in Part 1 of the Schedule for each day or part of a day during which the vehicle is detained, starting on the day the vehicle is detained; (c)if the vehicle is immobilised —$109. Charges for vehicle removed, detained or immobilised under section 15(1) of Act from or at URA parking place
4. Where a vehicle found in a URA parking place is removed, detained or immobilised under section 15(1) of the Act, the following charges must be paid for the release of the vehicle under section 15(4) of the Act:
if the vehicle is removed — a removal charge of the applicable amount specified in Part 2 of the Schedule; (b)a storage charge at the applicable rate specified in Part 2 of the Schedule for each day or part of a day during which the vehicle is detained, starting at 12 noon on the day immediately after the day the vehicle is detained; (c)if the vehicle is immobilised — $109.”.
Renumbering and amendment of existing rule 2
In the principal Rules, renumber the existing rule 2 as rule 5.
In the principal Rules, in rule 5 (as renumbered by paragraph (1)) —
in the rule heading, after “storage charges”, insert “for vehicle removed and detained under section 15(2) of Act”;
in paragraph (1), replace “section 15(1A)” with “section 15(2)”;
in paragraph (1), replace “section 15(3)” with “section 15(4)”; and
in paragraph (1)(a) and (b), replace “the Schedule” with “Part 3 of the Schedule”.
Replacement of Schedule
