Amendment of section 42
Section 42 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “, name and description” in subsection (2A)(b) and substituting the words “and name”;
(b)
by deleting the word “The” in subsection (3) and substituting the words “Subject to subsection (3AA), the”;
(c)
by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(3AA) The voter’s mark on the ballot paper must be made in the area demarcated on the ballot paper for that purpose, and not elsewhere.”; and
(d)
by inserting, immediately after subsection (7), the following subsection:“(8) The Minister may, by order in the Gazette, amend the Second Schedule.”.
