Section 37

Possessing false Singapore passports, etc.

(1)

If —

(a)

a person has possession or control of a false Singapore passport or a false Singapore travel document; and

(b)

the person knows or ought reasonably to have known that the document is a false Singapore passport or a false Singapore travel document,the person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to both.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not apply if the person has a reasonable excuse.
