Correction of irregularities
Subregulation 1
Subject to paragraph (3), the Registrar may, if he thinks fit, authorise the rectification of any irregularity of procedure connected with any proceeding or other matter before the Registrar, an Examiner or the Registry.
Subregulation 2
Any rectification made under paragraph (1) shall be made —
after giving the parties such notice as the Registrar may direct; and
subject to such conditions as the Registrar may direct.
Subregulation 3
Any time or period prescribed or specified in the Act or these Rules, whether expired or not, may be extended under paragraph (1) if, and only if —
the irregularity or prospective irregularity is attributable, wholly or in part, to a default, omission or other error by the Registrar, an Examiner or the Registry; and
it appears to the Registrar that the irregularity should be rectified.
