Filing of evidence

Subregulation 1

Where under these Rules evidence may be filed, it shall be by statutory declaration or affidavit.

The original statutory declaration or affidavit shall be filed, unless the Registrar directs in any particular case that a copy thereof may be filed.

Unless the Registrar directs otherwise, he —

(a)

may, if he thinks fit in any particular case, in lieu of or in addition to such evidence —

(i)

take oral evidence; or

(ii)

accept any written statement or documentary evidence; and

(b)

shall allow any witness to be cross-examined on any evidence given by the witness.
