Procedure as to opposition to amendment
Subregulation 1
Where in proceedings before the Registrar a proposed amendment under section 83 is advertised, notice of opposition to such an amendment may, within 2 months from the date of advertisement in the journal, be filed on Patents Form 58.
Subregulation 2
Such notice of opposition shall be supported by a statement setting out fully the facts upon which the opponent relies and the relief which he seeks.
Subregulation 3
The opponent shall, at the time the notice of opposition and the statement are filed, serve, on the proprietor of the patent and on every other party to the proceedings before the Registrar, a copy of the notice of opposition and a copy of the statement.
Subregulation 4
The Registrar may give such directions as he may think fit with regard to any aspect of the procedure for the opposition to the amendment.
