Pingat Gagah Perkasa (Tentera) — (The Conspicuous Gallantry Medal — Military) (Amendment) Rules 2026

These Rules are the Pingat Gagah Perkasa (Tentera) — (The Conspicuous Gallantry Medal — Military) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 October 2026.

In the Pingat Gagah Perkasa (Tentera) — (the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal — Military) Rules 1981 (G.N. No. S 254/1981) (called in these Rules the Principal Rules), in rule 2 —

replace paragraph (b) with —“(b)voluntary service in the Singapore Armed Forces; or”; and

in paragraph (c), replace “reserve service” with “operationally ready national service”.

In the principal Rules, replace rule 3 with —“3. The Medal may be awarded to any member of the Singapore Armed Forces who in the course of duty, has distinguished himself by a heroic act of courage and sacrifice, or by outstanding conduct and selfless devotion to the Service, going above and beyond the call of duty.”.

In the principal Rules, in rule 4, replace paragraphs (b), (c) and (d) with —“(b)be gold in colour;

on the obverse side — bear the Singapore State Crest atop a quadri‑service design with a shield emblazoned with a crescent moon and 5 stars in the centre, all of which are encased by a laurel wreath; (d)on the reverse side — bear the inscription “PINGAT GAGAH PERKASA (TENTERA)”; and

be of the design set out in the Schedule.”.

In the principal Rules, replace the Schedule with —“THE SCHEDULERule 4(e)ObverseReverse”.
