Clause 1

Short title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Planning (Amendment) Act, 1975, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.

Clause 2

Amendment of section 9

Subsection (7) of section 9 of the Planning Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the word “thereunder” appearing in the third line thereof the words “which may limit the period for which the permission was granted and which may provide”.

Clause 3

Amendment of section 29

Subsection (1) of section 29 of the Planning Act is hereby amended —

(a)

by deleting the colon appearing at the end of paragraph (b) thereof and substituting therefor the expression “; or”; and

(b)

by inserting immediately after paragraph (b) thereof the following: —“(c)of such nature involving any material change in the use of any building or land as may be prescribed:”.
