Clause 18

New First and Second Schedules

The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 62, the following Schedules:“FIRST SCHEDULESection 2qualified persons

1. Any person who is registered as an architect under the Architects Act (Cap. 12) and who has in force a practising certificate issued under that Act.

2. Any person who is registered as a professional engineer under the Professional Engineers Act (Cap. 253) and who has in force a practising certificate issued under that Act.

3. Any person who is registered as a land surveyor under the Land Surveyors Act (Cap. 156) and who has in force a practising certificate issued under that Act.SECOND SCHEDULESection 3(3)(i)usesSection 3(3)(i) applies to any building or buildings or part of a building which is or are approved or authorised to be used for any of the following uses:

(a)

boarding house;

(b)

hotel;

(c)

serviced apartments;

(d)

student hostel;

(e)

place of worship;

(f)

workers’ dormitory.”.
