Transitional provisions
(1)
Sections 10 and 11 shall apply to an application for planning permission or conservation permission made before the date of commencement of this Act provided that the competent authority has not issued an interim order under section 38 or 39 of the Planning Act for the payment of the estimated amount of development charge in respect of the development of land to be authorised by the grant of the planning permission or conservation permission as at that date.
(2)
Where the competent authority has, before the date of commencement of this Act, issued an interim order under section 38 or 39 of the Planning Act, sections 35 and 36 of the Planning Act in force immediately before that date shall continue to apply to any application for planning permission or conservation permission made before that date.
(3)
Section 12 shall only apply to an application for planning permission or conservation permission made on or after the date of commencement of that section and section 36 of the Planning Act in force immediately before that date shall continue to apply to any application for planning permission or conservation permission made before that date.
(4)
Section 15 shall apply to —
any application for planning permission or conservation permission made on or after the date of commencement of this Act; and
any application made on or after the date of commencement of this Act to renew or extend the validity of any planning permission or conservation permission granted for a specified period of 10 years or less.
(5)
The Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such other transitional and savings provisions as he may consider necessary or expedient.
