Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Planning (Use Classes) (Amendment) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 1 July 2026.
Amendment of rule 2
In the Planning (Use Classes) Rules (R 2), in rule 2 —
in the definition of “community building”, replace “welfare home, child care centre, a home for the aged or a home for the disabled” with “a child care centre or a social residential home”;
delete the definition of “home for the aged” or “home for the disabled”; and
after the definition of “Singapore Sports Council”, insert —“ “social residential home” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Social Residential Homes Act 2025;”.
