10. Re-engagements of police officers below inspector
Feedback & supportEvery police officer below the rank of inspector who has completed the period of service for which he or she was engaged may offer himself or herself for re‑engagement for a further period and, if approved, may be re‑engaged on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the Police Regulations.

“police officer” means any member of the Police Force and includes a temporary constable;
Every such re-engagement must be evidenced in writing signed by the person re‑engaged and by a commanding officer or other officer authorised thereto under the Police Regulations.

“commanding officer” means any police officer not below the rank of Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police, the Commander, Training Command or any police officer lawfully acting in any of these appointments;
