(1)

A person ceases to be an auxiliary police officer immediately upon his or her dismissal by, or his or her resignation from the service of, the Government or by any statutory body, company or other organisation employing him or her (as the case may be) in its Auxiliary Police Force.

(2)

Immediately on ceasing to be an auxiliary police officer, the person mentioned in subsection (1) must surrender his or her warrant card to the Commissioner through the person’s former employer or the Commander of the Auxiliary Police Force, and the Commissioner must cancel the warrant card.

(3)

Despite subsections (1) and (2), the Commissioner may, after prior notice to the employer concerned, cancel at any time the warrant card issued to any auxiliary police officer, who then ceases to be an auxiliary police officer.
