Section 29
Tendered votes
(1)
If a person representing himself or herself to be a particular elector named in the register applies for a ballot paper after another person has voted as such elector, the applicant, on taking an oath of identity which may be administered by the presiding officer and which must be in the prescribed form, is entitled to receive a ballot paper and to vote in the same manner as any other voter.
(2)
The ballot paper (called in this Act a tendered ballot paper) must be of a colour different from the other ballot papers, and, before being placed in a ballot box, must be endorsed by the presiding officer with the name of the voter and the voter’s number in the register, and that number must be entered on a tendered votes list.
