3. Letting and maintenance of workmen’s dwellings

The Board shall let out the dwellings to suitable workmen at such rents and upon such terms and conditions as it thinks fit, and shall maintain the dwellings in a proper state of repair.

“Board” means the Housing and Development Board established by section 3 of the Housing and Development Act;

For the purpose of this section “workmen” includes all manual workers and all artisans who work for wages and does not include any clerical workers, shop assistants, teachers or domestic servants.
