37. Delivery of persons arrested on warrant

Every person arrested pursuant to any writ, warrant or order of any court having civil jurisdiction must be brought without delay before the court by which the writ, warrant or order was issued, awarded or made.

If the court mentioned in subsection (1) is not sitting, the person must be delivered to the Superintendent for intermediate custody, and the Superintendent must cause the person to be brought before that court at its next sitting in order that the person may be dealt with according to law.
