Citation and commencement

Citation and commencement
This Notification is the Prisons (Appointment of Lock‑ups to be Places of Confinement) Notification 2018 and comes into operation on 25 November 2018.
Appointment of lock-ups
The lock-ups at the places set out in the Schedule are appointed as places for the confinement of persons awaiting trial, remanded or sentenced to such terms of imprisonment not exceeding one month.
Cancellation
The following Notifications are cancelled:
Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement (N 1);
Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement (G.N. No. S 222/2003);
Prisons (Appointment of Lock-ups to be Places of Confinement) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 594/2011).
