6. No person to carry on the business of a security guard agency without a licence

No person shall carry on the business of a security guard agency unless he is the holder of a security guard agency’s licence.

“security guard” includes any watchman or other person engaged in work for the protection of persons or property or to prevent the theft or the unlawful taking of property;
(2)
Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to both.
