2. Definitions

In this Notification —“face” means a person’s face —

from the top of the forehead to the bottom of the chin; and

between (but not including) the ears;“face covering” means an item of clothing, a mask or any other thing that is worn or held by a person and prevents the person’s face from being seen (whether wholly or partly);“prohibited item” means a thing specified in the First Schedule;“special event” means the National Day Parade 2026 taking place at the National Stadium —

on 9 August 2026; or

on 15 August 2026 instead of paragraph (a),which the Minister has declared to be a special event for the purposes of Part 3 of the Act as provided in Gazette Notification No. 4149 published on 20 July 2026;“special event area” means the area described in the Schedule to Gazette Notification No. 4149 published on 20 July 2026 for the special event;“special event period” means —

if the special event is held on 9 August 2026, the whole of 9 August 2026; or

if the special event is held on 15 August 2026 instead, the whole of 15 August 2026;“special zone” means the area within the special event area that is described in the Second Schedule.
