Variation of booking fees
Subregulation 1
Subject to sub‑paragraph (2), any amount specified in paragraph 15(2), 16(2) or 17(2) in relation to an on‑demand passenger transport service provided using a taxi may be varied —
by any ride‑hail service licensee; or
by any exempt ride‑hail service operator with the consent of the street‑hail industry participant that is the owner of the taxi,by substituting any of those amounts with another amount for its on‑demand passenger transport services provided using the taxi.
Subregulation 2
The amount that is in substitution of any amount specified in paragraph 15(2), 16(2) or 17(2) must —
be the same for all on‑demand passenger transport services provided in all standard taxis despatched by the same ride‑hail service licensee or owned by the same street‑hail industry participant, as the case may be; and
be the same for all on‑demand passenger transport services provided in all premium taxis despatched by the same ride‑hail service licensee or owned by the same street‑hail industry participant, as the case may be.
Subregulation 3
To avoid doubt, a price determined in substitution of any price in paragraph 15(2), 16(2) or 17(2) may be different for on‑demand passenger transport services provided in standard taxis and premium taxis, even though the taxis are despatched by the same ride‑hail service licensee or owned by the same street‑hail industry participant, as the case may be.
