100. Application for gas service worker licence
Feedback & supportAny person who desires to be a licensed gas service worker may apply to the Board for a gas service worker licence.

“gas service worker” means any person whose trade or occupation requires or includes the personal performance by him of gas service work;
An application for a gas service worker licence shall be made in such manner or form as the Board may determine and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee and such documents and particulars as the Board may determine.

“gas service worker licence” means a licence granted under section 100;
The Board may grant a gas service worker licence either unconditionally or subject to such conditions as it thinks fit or may refuse to grant such a licence.

“Board” means the Public Utilities Board established under the Public Utilities Act in force before 1st October 1995 and continued by section 3;
The Board may grant different types of gas service worker licence for different categories of gas service workers or for different types of gas service work.

“gas” means any substance in a gaseous state supplied through pipes and used for cooking or heating purposes, but does not include gas supplied to a public gas licensee and liquefied petroleum gas;
The Board may vary or revoke any of the existing conditions of a gas service worker licence or impose new conditions or vary, suspend or cancel such a licence or replace any such licence which has been lost, destroyed or defaced.
