Regulation 20A
Reporting radiation-related accident to Director-General
Subregulation 1
When the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health is notified of a radiation‑related accident, or a report of a radiation-related accident is submitted to the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health, under the Workplace Safety and Health (Incident Reporting) Regulations (Cap. 354A, Rg 3) —
the licensee must immediately notify the Director‑General of the radiation-related accident; and
the licensee, or a radiation safety officer appointed by the licensee under regulation 40, must submit a written report to the Director-General within 10 days after the date of the radiation-related accident.
Subregulation 2
The written report mentioned in paragraph (1)(b) must contain details of —
the time, place and nature of the radiation-related accident;
the number of individuals affected and the manner in which they were affected;
the period during which there was loss of control of non-ionising radiation or of irradiating apparatus;
the actions taken to address the radiation-related accident situation and to minimise the possibility of any future recurrence of such an accident; and
any individual who may have suffered radiation exposure, and an assessment of the exposure suffered by the individual.

Definition
“accident” has the meaning given by regulation 3 of the Workplace Safety and Health (Incident Reporting) Regulations;
Definition
“radiation‑related accident” means any accident involving an irradiating apparatus.
