Registration of Births and Deaths Regulations 2022

These Regulations are the Registration of Births and Deaths Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 29 May 2022.

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires — “birth certificate” includes a replacement birth certificate;“conveyance” means an aircraft, a vessel or a train;“death certificate” includes a replacement death certificate;“responsible person”, for a child in relation to the child’s birth registration, has the meaning given by section 8(5) of the Act;“stillbirth certificate” includes a replacement stillbirth certificate.
