Citation and commencement
This Order is the Registration of Criminals Act 1949 (Amendment of First Schedule) (No. 3) Order 2026 and comes into operation on 17 August 2026.
Amendment of First Schedule
In the Registration of Criminals Act 1949, in the First Schedule —
in Part 1D, in the item relating to “Section 292(1)”, replace “Section 292(1)” with “Section 292(1) (as in force before 17 August 2026)”;
in Part 1D, in the item relating to “Section 292(1A)”, replace “Section 292(1A)” with “Section 292(1A) (as in force before 17 August 2026)”; and
after Part 1D, insert —“Part 1EOFFENCES UNDER THE PENAL CODE 1871 INCLUDED WITH EFFECT FROM 17 AUGUST 2026Chapters and Sections OffencesSection 292(1) (including a case mentioned in section 292(1A) or (1B)) Sale of obscene objects, etc.Section 292(1C) Sale, etc., of obscene objects, on 2 or more occasions, to total number of 10 or more individualsSection 292B Obscene object on online locationChapters 5 and 5A and section 512 Abetment of, conspiracy to commit and attempt to commit any offence in this Part* Note: The short description of offences in this Part is for ease of reference only.”.
