Section 7
(1)
Every person who contravenes or fails to comply with the provisions of any rules made under this Act, or wilfully makes any false or misleading statement, written or oral, with respect to any matter dealt with by this Act or by any rules made thereunder shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000.
(2)
The Board may, by order, compound any offence punishable under this section.[8
