Regulation of Imports and Exports (National Dental Centre Singapore — Exemption) Regulations 2026

These Regulations are the Regulation of Imports and Exports (National Dental Centre Singapore — Exemption) Regulations 2026.

These Regulations are in force for the period between 18 September 2026 and 17 September 2031 (both dates inclusive).

These Regulations are in force for the period between 18 September 2026 and 17 September 2031 (both dates inclusive).

The National Dental Centre Singapore (called in this regulation NDCS) is exempt from regulation 3 of the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Chewing Gum) Regulations (Rg 4) in respect of the import of any specified chewing gum for the purpose of the research project titled “Chewing Function Estimation for Partially Edentulous Patients using Intraoral 3D Scan Data and Machine Learning Models”, and identified by the reference number 2025‑1549, undertaken by NDCS.

In paragraph (1), “specified chewing gum” means any chewing gum that —

is sugarless and is not medicated; and

is not registered or deemed to be registered as a therapeutic product or an oral dental gum under the Health Products Act 2007.

The National Dental Centre Singapore (called in this regulation NDCS) is exempt from regulation 3 of the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Chewing Gum) Regulations (Rg 4) in respect of the import of any specified chewing gum for the purpose of the research project titled “Chewing Function Estimation for Partially Edentulous Patients using Intraoral 3D Scan Data and Machine Learning Models”, and identified by the reference number 2025‑1549, undertaken by NDCS.
