Section 17

A person who promotes in Singapore, or by any conduct (inside or outside Singapore) authorises a promotion in Singapore of, any remote gambling shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000.

This section does not apply to an exempt operator promoting or authorising the promotion of the remote gambling service it is authorised to provide under and in accordance with the conditions of its certificate of exemption.

To avoid doubt, this section does not affect the operation of any provision in Part 2.
