Clause 31

by deleting the words “in a road” appearing in the second line of subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the words “on a road”;

by inserting immediately after subsection (1) thereof the following new subsection: —“(2) Where a police officer in uniform is for the time being engaged in the regulation of traffic on a road at any place where there are traffic light signals regulating the movement of traffic, a person driving a vehicle shall comply with the directions given by the police officer notwithstanding that the traffic light signals indicate otherwise.”; and

by re-numbering the existing subsection (2) as subsection (3) thereof.
