Amendment of section 77
Section 77 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after subsection (3) thereof the following new subsection: —“(4) Any person who while being carried on or being permitted to ride on a goods vehicle —
(a)
fails to sit on a seat in or at any place on the vehicle as directed by the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle; or
(b)
fails to comply with such directions as are given by the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle regarding his personal safety,shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars.”.
