Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 28 June 2026.

Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2026 is Singapore Subsidiary Legislation, cited as Subsidiary Legislation S410 2026, currently marked in force and first recorded in 2026.
Citation and commencement
These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2026 and come into operation on 28 June 2026.
Amendment of rule 57
In the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5) (called in these Rules the principal Rules), in rule 57(2)(b), replace “appropriate fee specified in” with “fee specified in item 11 of”.
Amendment of Part XIII heading
In the principal Rules, in Part XIII, in the Part heading, delete “OR PERMIT”.
Amendment of rule 64C
In the principal Rules, in rule 64C —
in the rule heading, delete “or permit”;
in paragraphs (1), (2), (3) and (4), replace “, special purpose licence or visitor’s permit” wherever it appears with “or special purpose licence”;
in paragraphs (1)(a), (b), (c) and (d), (2)(b), (3) and (4), delete “or permit” wherever it appears; and
in paragraph (2)(a), delete “, or $10.90 (inclusive of GST) for a duplicate visitor’s permit,”.
Amendment of rule 65
In the principal Rules, in rule 65 —
in paragraphs (1) and (2), replace “, a general licence or a visitor’s permit” with “or a general licence”;
in paragraph (1), delete “or permit” wherever it appears;
in paragraph (1), replace sub‑paragraph (b) with —“(b)in the case of a general licence, deliver to the Registrar the plates supplied under rule 59 and the general licence.”;
in paragraph (2)(a), insert “or” at the end;
in paragraph (2)(b), replace “; or” with a full‑stop;
in paragraph (2), delete sub‑paragraph (c); and
in paragraph (5), delete “a visitor’s permit or”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
In the principal Rules, in the Second Schedule, replace item 11 with — “11.Visitor’s permits$10”.
